Horizon 2020 is the largest research and innovation programme initiated by European Union. The budget of this programme amounts to EUR 80 billion. Horizon 2020 is divided into three main priorities: Excellence Science, Industrial Leadership and Societal Challengers. Horizon 2020 instruments are fully aimed at supporting Polish and European entrepreneurs within their innovative ideas and solutions. The purpose of the Horizon 2020 programme is to help increase innovation of the European small and medium entreprises.
What kind of projects will be supported?
Each project gives an opportunity to conduct various research and innovation actions. Additionally Horizon 2020 supports coordination actions inside each project as well.
Research and Innovation Actions: activities include basic and applied research, technology development and integration, testing and validation on a small-scale prototype in a laboratory or simulated environment.
Innovation Actions: activities include prototyping, testing, demonstrating, piloting, large-scale product validation and market replication.
Coordination and Support Actions: actions consisting primarily of accompanying measures such as standardization, dissemination, awareness-raising and communication, networking, coordination and support services.
